The Split-Dalmatia County, in partnership with the City of Omiš and the “Josip Pupačić” Elementary School Omiš, at the end of 2025, applied for the project Construction of a new building of the Josip Pupačić Elementary School in Omiš to the Call of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth for the allocation of grants for the construction, reconstruction and equipping of elementary schools for the needs of single-shift work and full-day school.
On March 6, 2026, the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth published the Decision on financing the project Construction of a new building of the Josip Pupačić Elementary School in Omiš on the official website of the Call, ref. no. NPOO.C3.1.R1-I2.01-V1.0225, with grants in the amount of EUR 27,540,889.83.
The total value of this capital strategic project is 30,508,302.54 EUR, and the deadline for the implementation of all project activities is 29 months, with the project and technical documentation already prepared and the project is in the phase of obtaining permits for the start of construction. The construction and equipping of the facility is estimated to last 14 months from the start of construction.

The partnership that we have started has been further confirmed by the Partnership Agreement in the implementation of the project, and we look forward to the start of the implementation of project activities.
