FAQ

What to see in Omiš?

Well, it really depends how long you are staying in town. These are some of the main tourist attractions in Omiš, ranked by the time it takes to access them: narrow streets of the ancient town center, Mirabella fortress, the Cetina river canyon, Fortica fortress, hiking trails. But you can get more info on this at Omiš Smart City

Yes, an entrance fee for Mirabela is 5 EUR  in the period from 15.04. to 01.11. You will need to pay 3,5 euros to enter the Fortica fortress. Working hours depend on the season and can be checked in the Tourist Information Centre. But please take note — never climb up to Fortica after 6 pm as it could be very tricky to climb down after it gets dark, always have enough water (at least a 1L bottle) and proper footwear.

You will need to get to the main church in the very center of the old town. Just left to the main church entrance you will see a set of stairs climbing up. Take the stairs and follow the signs leading to Mirabela.

How can I get to Fortica?

There are several paths you can take up to the Fortica. The easiest and most frequently used path leads up from the town port, just left from the fire department. After climbing up the curvy local road for a couple of minutes you should see a sign marking the path to Fortica on your left. From this point you have no more than 50 minutes of easy climbing along a well marked forest path to reach your ultimate goal.
