— About the Festival
OSTINATO – International Chamber Music Festival Omiš is a classical chamber music festival featuring productions by the most gifted young world musicians who have been educated at the most prestigious musical academies and currently perform primarily in world music centers. The festival began its program in 2018 and takes place in August with three to five festival evenings, including various additional academy programs from Zagreb and Split, as well as programs related to didactic musical education through numerous seminars and lectures.

The central stage of this festival is located in the Franciscan Monastery of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Omiš. This historic and acoustically exceptional venue provides an intimate and spiritually enriching atmosphere that perfectly complements the refined chamber music performances, creating an unforgettable cultural experience in the heart of this historic Dalmatian town.
— Festival Founders
The festival was initiated by pianist Lovre Marušić, assistant at the Zagreb Music Academy currently on professional development in Germany and Russia, and a student at Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt under Grigory Gruzman. Lovre is a recipient of numerous international awards, including the Cleveland International Piano Competition 2021. The co-founder is cellist Latica Anić, also a recipient of numerous international awards for her musical artistry.
